According to the latest statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Chinas automobile market achieved rapid growth in April this year, especiallyNew energyAutomobile production and sales continue to maintain a positive trend.

Data shows that in April, Chinas automobile production and sales reached 2.133 million and 2.159 million units respectively, with year-on-year growth of 76.8% and 82.7%. Among them, passenger vehicle production and sales reached 1.778 million and 1.811 million units, with year-on-year growth of 78.5% and 87.7%.

The new energy vehicle market continues to show outstanding performance, with market share steadily increasing. In April, new energy vehicle production and sales reached 640,000 and 636,000 units respectively, both increasing by 1.1 times year-on-year, with a market share of 29.5%.

In terms of automobile exports, the number of exported vehicles reached 376,000, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times, among which new energy vehicle exports reached 100,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 840%.

Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, stated that the stable operation of the macroeconomy has helped further unleash consumer demand in the automobile market. With policy support for new energy vehicles and increasing consumer awareness of environmental protection, the new energy vehicle market continues to show strong growth momentum.

However, Chen Shihua also pointed out that the automobile industry still faces challenges such as global chip shortages and other supply chain issues. He emphasized that all parties should work together to strengthen supply chain management, promote coordinated development of the industrial chain, and ensure the stable operation and sustainable development of the automobile market. At the same time, increasing R&D investment, driving innovation, and continuously enhancing the core competitiveness of the automobile industry are essential to achieve high-quality development.
